What is eMoney?
eMoney is electronic money, which is also referred to as e-money, electronic cash, electronic currency, digital money, digital cash or digital currency, where value is exchanged electronically and is what is used within the moflow system.
What is the technology inside a moflow card?
Inside the card is a MiFare 4k chip, the same as is in the Oyster™ card.
Is a moflow card like a bank debit card or credit card?
No – moflow uses eMoney. To use a moflow card you must pre-load money onto the card. You can do this via our secure online portal.
Can I get into debt with a moflow card?
No - it is a prepaid payment system. You can only spend what you have loaded on to the card.
How much can I spend with my moflow card?
Your transactions can be as small as you like or as large as £100. You cannot store over £100 on each of your individual purses at any time.
How quick is a transaction?
A payment takes under 5 seconds.
How quick is entry with your ticket stored on your moflow card?
It takes the same time as a payment transaction, considerably reducing queuing time.
How does my moflow card at the bar work?
Instead of paying with cash, you can pay with your moflow card. Present your card to the cashier when you’re ready to make your purchase. You should check the amount on the screen is correct before waving your card over the reader to make your purchase. Your moflow account will then be debited. You can view details of your transactions on your online statement.
I have just loaded money onto my account. How long does it take before I can use it?
Your balance will show and be ready to use within an hour of making a top up.
How do I put money onto my moflow account?
Go onto your uniquely register moflow account and top up there; use the auto top up option or you can top it up in person at designated areas.
Who can put money into my account?
Anyone who knows your purse number can put money into your account, allowing parents or friends to add money to your account.
Can I receive the money back that I’ve already uploaded?
Yes-money can be returned at any time.
How can I check what I’m spending?
You can check all recent transactions on your account by selecting the option "my transactions".
Will my moflow card expire?
No your card will not expire and neither will the money in your purse.
What will happen if I cancel my card?
If you cancel your card then the money in your purse will be credited back to your bank account used with moflow.
What does "Purse is blocked" mean?
If you log into your account and see the message "Purse is blocked", this means that your moflow card has been blocked to protect the balance. If you would like your card to be unblocked, please email info@moflow.me
Is my money safe?
moflow is safer than cash. If you lose a twenty pound note you are unlikely to see it again. If you lose your moflow card you can notify us and we will send you a replacement and transfer your balance to the new card.
What happens if I lose my card before the event? Have I lost my ticket?
With traditional paper tickets if you lose your ticket you typically have two options, buy another or not go. However by using moflow we can reinstate your ticket on your new card.
What should I do if I lose my card?
If you lose your moflow card you should report it to us immediately by logging on to your moflow account. We will then send you a new card and transfer your remaining balance.
How secure is this system?
moflow uses sophisticated fraud prevention and detection processes and conforms to the FSA Regulatory Requirements. Each card reader is protected by a unique security application module that creates a trusted transaction environment. Transactions from readers are encrypted and routed over public networks to the moflow host environment in a highly secure manner.
How secure is my data and your site?
